Question about Bush with "Meet the Press" |
|
I'm wondering something with Bush on "Meet the Press." We all know how very cocky he gets and when he gets cocky his mouth tends to run away from his brain. I'm wondering if anybody remembers when Bush was on with Tim Russert talking about him being involved with Skull and Bones. Thanks in advanced.

I'm watching a video on "Skull and Bones" and it shows Bush talking to Russert about it and he mentions Kerry and Bush says "well he's not the nominee." Was Kerry the democratic nominee then? (And for those wondering Kerry's record speaks for himself.)

3. On the day of that interview, 02/08/04, Kerry was not yet the nominee. |

So that much was true. After the primary season, he was the de facto nominee and it was formalized at the convention, later in the year.

I was wondering when the timing was. He was very cocky and confident he would win (doy he's involved with stealing the elections) so I wasn't sure when this was since I didn't become political aware until closer to September or so. I'm just wondering but when is the nominee usually announced?

5. The timing of the primaries can change, from state to state... |
|
...and year to year. But essentially, by late spring of the election year, the nominee has been determined by the primaries that have taken place and the remaining primaries, if any, aren't going to change the outcome. In any case, though, the candidate is not the official nominee until he is nominated at the party convention.
