We begin to take up a collection to buy our security on the 6 ports of entry to the United States. I mean afterall they are selling to the highest bidder right?

Sort of like the Green Bay Packers? Make the corporate bastards pay US every time they want to dock?
I like it.

3. In a 'time of war' shouldn't the military be here, protecting the ports |
|
and the borders?
They love to use that phrase to excuse all their spying and as an excuse for destroying the Constitution ~ how many times have they said 'we're in a time of war' to silence anyone who questions them? Or 'we're in a post 9/11 world'?
If we were really in a 'time of war', the best strategy would have been, after 9/11, to keep the military HERE, not to send them all over the world, leaving the country vulnerable to attack, while selling the security of its ports to a country THEY said 'harbored terrorists'. It's mind-boggling.
If only people could use logic. We saw what happened during Katrina. None of the states affected had enough National Guard to deal with the situation.
