Freepers are strange
The post started with the headline:

Breaking: Fox - 12 Miners Found ALIVE!
Fox News

Fox News - 12 found alive!

Then when the truth came out, they updated the headline and proceeded to lambaste the media, but strangely, mostly CNN, for incorrect reporting, not Fox, the people they were quoting in the first place.

Freepers are strange.

2. I don't get it
I just finished reading the NY Times article about the 12 of the 13 miners being found alive and that they were in a local hospital under observation. What "truth" are you talking about that got the freepers upset? Sorry, but I won't go to the link to figure it out.

8. Thanks for the information
I read the Times before I come here-silly me, I should have realized that DU would have the factual information. Having lived in coal country, I know that the possibility of a tragedy is always there in the back of everyone's minds. It is really a miracle that even one fellow survived. I wonder if they will check for safety now-seems to me that non-union mines are especially lax about making sure their mines are as safe as possible.

5. No, only one was found alive
At least that's the new headline everywhere.

3. Faux Reported The Pope Being Dead Several Times, Too
The network's slogan should be "if it's news, it's news to us!"

CNN looks the most foolish...Anderson was hoping to do this warm and fuzzy story and it blew up on him on live camera. It did the same to Rita Metermaid on MSNBC, but no one was watching. LOL.

CNN also deserves it because this is the story they live and die for. They were 24/7 on this thing...just like they are in similar human tragedy; trying to capitalize on the story and this one didn't quite work out according to script. I suspect now they'll beat the daylights out of this story for the next couple days to find a scapegoat for their embarassment and milk the last couple tears out of this thing.

There is a donation banner on every thread.
What's up, freaks? Are some of your members actually seeing the truth now?

13. It would be a real loss
if FR had to scale back that comprehensive and well-designed site for lack of funds, or--horrors!!--lay off a few programmers or writers.

Oh wait, I forgot, RimJob does the whole thing himself, and he's on welfare.

Sorry, got a bit choked up there before I remembered...

12. It's really funny to read that thread
For the first 200 posts or so, everybody is all "PRAISE THE LORD!!!"", "THANK GOD, OUR PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED!!!" "GOD IS GREAT, HE WAS IN WEST VIRGINIA!!!"

Then, after the news breaks, they are all like, "Damn MSNBC, misinformation!!" "Damn CNN!! Heads gonna roll!!!"

What I would give to hear one of them say, "Damn you God!!"

It's not nice to be laughing at a topic like this, but I can't help it. They're ridiculous!

17. I know, if they're alive, it's because of God, if they're dead is because
CNN and MSNBC.

I know the situation is horrific, however their reactions are sadly laughable. MKJ

16. Fox doesn't have any REAL reporters.
All the non-propaganda they b'cast comes from the MSM. So, from their point of view they're not responsible.

:sarcasm:
