Is Danish cartoon controversy part of push for Iran War?

Given the far right credentials of the artist and venue, it's not hard to imagine they tried to kick up shit on purpose, but I'm wondering what everybody else thinks.

I think Islamaphobia will be enough of an excuse for some, but others will demand other "proof". Actually, I think the offer of Russia might eventually be used as an excuse to bomb Iran-harking back to Cold War fears, also called combining the bogeymen.

7. No, but the cartoons gave extremists on both sides an opportunity

to drive a another wedge between Islam and the West.
For the neocons, conflict is opportunity and Islamophobia
is useful, but real excuse for invading Iran will be
something BIG. Think of a potential WMD attack
against the U.S. on 45 minutes notice. An actual 7/7 or 3/11
scale attack that can be blamed on Iran might also work.

The firestorm over the cartoons is just a warm up exercise.
