Big Sky Country Readies to Turn A Republican Out… Things are Looking Up
Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 03:19 PM by Montagnard

If we all fall out and are counted as front line troops in the 06 campaign, we might just take back our country.

“Jack Bolender, a retiree who voted for three-term Sen. Conrad Burns because the Republican delivered mounds of federal aid to Montana, said he was deserting the incumbent in the state's November election. Allegations that Burns was cozy with Jack Abramoff, the lobbyist central to a wide-ranging corruption scandal in Washington, have Bolender steamed.

"I appreciate what brought to the state, but at what cost?" Bolender said one cold afternoon outside Murdoch's. "We seem to be selling out to the special interests."

Voters such as Bolender are at the center of a political storm that threatens to roil this year's midterm elections. Democrats are trying to use the Abramoff scandal to tarnish Republicans. And there are few places where the effort is more intense than in Montana.”

1. The Rebublicans have tarnished themselves...
It really gets me that Democrats have to always be somehow attached to Repbulican misdeeds. Whether it's pointing out that the misdeeds are illegal! It's always stated as if the Democrats are wrong to point out the truth.

2. The public should be tarnishing the Republicans. Their actions
don't need the Democrats help. If the public can't figure out that the Republicans have sold the country to special interests, no amount of Democratic whining is going to make a difference.

Not only that, but the press keeps defending these cheaters, by insinuating that they will be electible if the Democrats leave them alone.

3. I wish our democratic leaders would repeatedly state exactly that
We are not wrong for pointing out the crimes of Republicans and they wouldn't be electable even if we were quiet about it.

4. I always said just give the Republicans enough rope
and they would do their own hanging.. They will hang each other out to dry. People that do the things they do also sell out their friends and anyone else they can to help themselves....
