One thing to watch out for with the UAE port deal, Democrats...
Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 08:20 PM by jsamuel
Democrats, reference that the UAE recognized the Taliban.

Democrats, reference that the UAE refuses to recognize Israel.

Democrats, reference that the UAE has had a large terrorist problem.

Democrats, reference that the UAE would control 6 major US ports.

Democrats, reference that the 9/11 hijackers had connections with the UAE.

Democrats, don't make race or religion part of the problem.

Democrats, don't use that fact that UAE is a islamic country to attack the deal.

Democrats, go get 'em!!!

2. Yes, this is important
the last thing we need to do here is to demonize Muslims any more. The Muslim Americans who had voted Republican before 9/11 are now voting Democrat, because they have seen what Bush is up to with his hatred. Stress security, please. That is the issue.

3. Don't mix ammonium nitrate and fuel oil
and don't pack it into steel drums
and don't let a blasting cap fall into one of them
and for sure, don't put it all into a Ryder truck...

6. It's also a state owned company, side note
Besides the obvious security problems, it's also a state owned company in a country that routinely brings in what is tantamount to slave labor. On a purely business competitive basis, what the hell are we doing??? It's all completely insane.

7. So far...
...I have only seen people on DU doing the things on your "do" list. Too often though, I've seen them then be accused of doing the things on your "don't" list.

8. Here's one post that just talks about 'the Arabs'
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=364&topic_id=473881
The B*** admin can spin this, and blah, blah, blah all they want but regular Americans are getting a simple message: B*** has turned our security over to the Arabs. He has done what Zell Miller said John Kerry would do, outsourced our security to the terrorists."

And that got recommended once too.

11. thats ok, in my experiences, if no one states this, often it will come up
By saying it we are making everyone realize that racism will not be tolerated.

9. Democrats, when you attack, don't refer to them as handling security
since the right wing is saying they are supposed to handle operations. But, if you are in the know, tell us whether anyone can handle operations without being equally involved in security. We need to get this straightened out to gain a more persuasive argument.

And does anyone know which companies were excluded from the operations because of the Bush Baker PNAC baron decision?

They are selling off our country ONE BRICK and ONE BUILDING and ONE LOAN and ONE SERVICE AT A TIME!
