Coal MIne/Free Press Disaster...
 it is not good, i grow weary of our vaunted, rita cosby, foxnews, cnn, profit generated 4th estate 'free press' too so very willing to report what they in no way have corroborated = if it bleeds it leads = if it dies it leads = even if it might be dead and you can perpetrate a miracle by way of misinformation it leads...it is a sadness beyond belief they cannot get one story straight and of any timely import whatsoever imo they stand by wringing their hands wondering who didn't ask the right questions when the time was right. when the bush admin frittered the world away and now no-less than this.

miles o'brien ragging on the words 'above the fold' at this moment & coast to coast when they themselves stood there all night long. it is tawdry. but for the sorrowful deaths of working men, and innocence all around the world...it is a child's game of blame and further obfuscation.

the american concept of journalism is dead imo as well.

5. That late at night, the sunrise print editions had been put to bed
Edited on Wed Jan-04-06 01:41 PM by Syncronaut Seven
The presses were running and the first copies were in the hands of the distributors. Scrapping a press run is mondo expensive and means AM subscribers don't get their copies before work. Pisses people off.

I doubt a single publisher in America has screamed "Stop the presses" in 42 years.

3. They didn't learn anything from the Y2K elections.

Remember when they all raced to announce the winner?
