I know it's repeating at 12:20AM EST. I don't know if it will be on the videos that cspan archives or not. I watched it earlier this evening. The had an interesting panel that included John Dean, Lawrence Tribe, Romero (from the ACLU), and several others.

Tribe made a GREAT comment. He said Shrub said he was criticized for not connecting the dots, now he's connecting the dots, and he's being criticized for that. What do you want me do to??? Tribe said "He's NOT connecting the dots, he just collecting dots!"

John Dean specifically stated "The VP does NOT have authorization to declassify any documents as he claimed an Executive Order gave him." Cheney set up his own security group, therefore he needed the authority to classify documents, but "he DOES NOT have the authority to declassify any docs, and neither does the President unless he goes through the established procedures!"

It was quite an interesting program.

1. People have got to read Risen's State of War.

The Bush people, as we've all suspected all along, just came and exploited the shit out of vulnerabilities in the way the intelligence system was structured. They are in the middle of one of the greatest crimes in the history of the nation, and they're just getting away with it because the system doesn't know how to deal with such brazenness. It's depressing.
