Anyway, we have to keep the gears of the perpetual war machine greased. If Iran didn't exist, we'd have to invent it. Just like Bin Laden, Saddam, Manuel Noriega, Castro, all of the others. Now that the Big Bad Soviet Bug Bear has faded from the scene, we have to have an enemy somewhere, don't we? If nothing else was available, we'd pick on some crappy ass Caribbean island, like Reagan did with Grenada.
