Someone said the whole story isn't being reported I want to know what is being left out. Whether the guy is a Repub or not doesn't make me like or dislike him, but from the reports on the TV he had a point when he called out the guy for not racing with the team. Here's the REAL reason that Bushtard wanted Davis to participate in the relay event.

He wanted Davis to LOSE the 1000 meter event because that was the event he would most likely take the Gold Medal in and an African-American man taking the first Gold Medal an African-American had ever taken in the winter Olympics outdoes and trumps a professional in-line skater getting the gold in speed ice skating as a news event.

It means more exposure for Davis and potentially more endorsement deals than Hedricks will get.
