Have Neocons infiltrated the Democratic Party? (Link to poll)
I came across this poll on Seattle's AAR affiliate AM 1090 KPTK. It asks have Republicans infiltrated the Democratic Party. One of the posters who responded featured a timeline since 2001 about what the Democrats ir DLC did or did not do.

I, myself think that it isn't so much the Republicans (actually, they really are Neocons!) have infiltrated the Democratic Party but it is the corporatists and those who run the military-industrial complex. Not the GOP itself. They are making the Democratic Party into a token opposition and the DLC is a faction run by corporatists.

1. The problem is where you stand
The more liberal you are the more everybody else looks kind of conservative.

The DLC is kind of an ultra moderate pro business group - they look conservative to a lot of us. Add to that the fact that they are sell outs, and you have a group that we aren't going to like very much.

2. I cannot help but be suspicious.
A lot of the wrong moves by Democratic lawmakers, Howard Dean's character assassination, and simply inaction all makes me wonder.

4. What you describe is merely the sympton of power fearing change
These are desperate acts by people in power who don't want to lose it. Though it's a bad thing to have happen, it means you have their attention and that you're making headway. Not all bad in my book. Like labor pains - or in this case - growing pains.
