Now is the time to out-flank the Repugs on Port-gate

Today, the Repug Governors of the affected states that have been named as ports that will have their security run by an Arab country (United Arab Emirates) with known terrorist ties spoke out against the deal. Pataki (R-NY) and Ehrlich (R-MD) have done all our heavy lifting.

Corzine(D-NJ), Rendell(D-Penn) and Blanco (D-La) should hold a joint press conference today to blast this silly idea and the Bush administration's handling of it.

This would isolate the only other Governor affected, Jeb Bush (R-Fla.). Can you imagine the pressure that would put him under with all those vulnerable Repug congressional seats up for grabs in Florida?

Let's get ahead of this issue. It's a winner for us, and can crack Bush's base.

Two questions will security really be completed by those who run the ports, or is the vulnerability that the owners will let something in that should not be allowed? Also, wouldn't foreign interests know what the U.S moves through the ports?
