This morning's "news": OBL defiant, bird flu spreading fast, port sale...

This was the background noise as I got dressed for work. I wondered to myself if all this negative "news" hasn't replaced the now-abandoned terror alerts. After all, this information is nothing but terror in reverse.

At breakfast, restaurant has Faux news on. Everything's great in America according to Faux. A news reader at a zoo does a story on a panda to prove it.

Welcome to America where we now routinely lurch back and forth between the apocalypse and the calypso (i.e., Dancing with the Stars).
