offer me the National Business Leadership Award sponsored by the RNC.

First, I know this scam. It's fundraising. You get called because you have an M.D., Esq., or CEO in your letterhead. They have no idea of your party affiliation. They do know you theoretically have money. You make a donation for the "processing" which includes a press release to your local newspaper, an invite to a black-tie dinner in DC which the President will attend and is "the highlight of the season in DC". Tempting, eh?

Next, the phone bank has you listen to Tom Reynold's "personal" message to you and why you are so important that you must be recognized as a leader in your community.

So, anyway, I was back on with the phonebank. They think I'm ready to be signed up. Not exactly. I told them, yes, I have a small law practice, BUT 90% of my clients I represent pro bono (FREE) because of the Bush economy. I can't make money because my clients have no money. Outsourcing. Underemployment. Lack of unemployment insurance. Lack of available jobs. It's Bush's fault. He ran the economy into the ground by taking a $5 trillion surplus and converting it to a $8.25 trillion debt, we're borrowing $2 billion daily to service the INTEREST not the principal, permanent tax breaks to a demographic that doesn't need any more of my money and my clients' money . . .

Well, I guess I just signed my ticket to a Halliburton detention camp with my rant, assuming that my message goes from phonebank to a list in DC. I don't care. I've had it.

2. Tom Delay ran this scam for a long time
Some poor slobs didn't know the difference and even used their "award" as a part of their advertising.
They called me some time back. I said..Are you crazy?

3. They've called me twice
and had to leave a message, since I was in the middle of packaging my orders. Here's the weird part, I'm not listed anywhere as a business except on my web site. So, they must be buying lists or one of my customers offered my phone number up to the RNC.
