when he had the Nurses that took care of him on his show to thank them. Nurses get such a crummy rap (either sexpots, glorified maids, or mass murderers). If health care were an airport, we would be the air traffic controllers and yet we are frequently treated like shit. We are the patients last best defense and tireless advocate. It was nice that they were recognized. He has also become a proponent of Nurses and Nursing. :loveya:

That clip was funny, but it was almost more a rallying cry - just listen to the audience cheering. And I loved Letterman's expression at the end. He repeated "Just a Big Bowl of Bad" - but he didn't have a smile or snarky look on his face; he actually looked incredibly sad. Letterman snarks about most things, but he does care about what Bush is doing to this country, and has for a long time.
