John Russell (FL-5) gets major endorsement .
From a Republican yet!

John Russell is a progressive Democrat, who has the ability to reach across the aisle to the other party and attract independents too. As a healthcare professional, he understands the problems associated with our fractured healthcare system, and has made universal, single-payer health insurance his top priority. He is a man who speaks truth to power, and asserts the rights of the individual over the corporation.

Press Release
Citrus Hills Florida...

Democratic Congressional Candidate John Russell poses with Republican Joseph Dawson, Founder and CEO of The Child Protection Coalition after endorsing Mr. Russell as the congressional candidate in Florida's 5th congressional district with the leadership skills, tenacity and insight necessary to spearhead and implement meaningful National Child Safety legislation and close loopholes that currently allow sexual predators to legally adopt our children. Mr. Russell has pledged to close such loopholes as Florida's next 5th District U.S. Representative. Mr. Russell was presented with the endorsement this past Saturday February 18th at the annual JFK/FDR Dinner sponsored by The Citrus County Florida Democratic Party.

The Child Protection Coalition is a non-profit 501(c) (3) bipartisan national organization who's sole mission is to make every child safe from child predation in any form. Membership in the Child Protection Coalition just in Florida currently numbers over 200,000.

2. Did you try to contact Kos about your campaign?
I know he is posting much info on different campaigns online for progressive candidates.

3. My campaign died a quick death.
I spent a week consulting with some top national campaign managers, and it was unanimously decided that I'm the only person in Florida that could lose to Katherine Harris. Too many skeletons in the closet, and all of it public record.

I'm going to stay filed through qualifying in May, and I've been invited to speak at a few candidate forums, which I'll do, just to talk about issues that Nelson doesn't want to talk about.

I'll do a more thorough post on DU later, maybe today explaining it.

In the mean time, I'll continue working for John Russell. That seat we can win.
