nothing really matters
Everyday the liberal blogosphere is screaming to the high heavens about all the BS the * regime has pulled off and it just doesn't seem to matter. Now we are giving our port security to the united arab emirates and once again we are freaking out...but nothing is going to change. Nothing we do is going to change squat. The millions of us online checking blogs and reading the DU do not compare to the untold masses that are glued to their televisions believing everything they see.

Man...I am just out of outrage. I am out of ideas. I can't even keep up with all the scandals that break out every day and I am sick of calling my senators and complaining to well meaning secretaries. I am sick of signing petition after petition. I am sick of sending my money off to liberal organizations that are fighting the good fight. (You would not believe all the junk mail I get now!)

Our media is the problem. Our government is the problem. Power corrupts. Well, its corrupted and there ain't nothing that's going to change that. The republicans aren't going to make it any better and I am done kidding myself that the democrats are going to suddenly get a spine and fix this freaking country.

On Bill Maher Helen Thomas said that tired refrain that the american people need to start working harder to change things. How? I vote and lose every election I vote in. I volunteered my time, my money and for nothing. I even spoke well of John Kerry for months on end trying to convince everyone I know how crucial it was to vote for him(though I was never that crazy abouth im) cuz he was the guy to back and I did my part.

Hell, I got a mortage to pay...I dont have time to go march in washington everytime there is a new march.

ugh...there is no point to this rant. I have no insights. Just frustration. I know the 06 elections are a huge deal cuz if the democrats win there might be the slightest hope that bush could get impeached...but I ain't holding my breath. Nope...I am holding my nose. Watching our country stink!

1. If the Republicans and other wingers start squeaking
the wheel will get the grease. But only if they do.

5. Time To Leave The Country
I go through so many days when I feel EXACTLY as you do. It's hopeless. There's no way to change the direction things are going. The powers that be, are too powerful.

I get so fucking frustrated posting and reading the BS I learn about through websites like DU. It all seems so pointless trying to fight anymore.

The only way things will ever change is if a massive collapse happens to the minds and fortunes of a egotistical amerikan public. I hope that I'm living in another country at that point, as I don't know how much longer I can take this constant crap.

Love it or leave it....I'm about to the point of the latter.

6. yep
I am just happy that I live in the bay area...a liberal stronghold here in Cali.

ugh...maybe hope really is just some po'dunk town in arkansas...

It seems like there are so many of us online that are just mad as hell and are trying to make things better. I wonder how many of us there really are compared to the rest of the general population. I forget how 'technically advanced' me and all my friends are what with our high powered thinking machines and the internets...most of the country is still getting use to things like email... etc etc...

the question is how can we take it from our computers to the real deal? Is it even possible?
