One day he's cool, the next day he's a Bush lover.

I thought it was me.
He's got such a smooth style, I almost got sucked in. But then he goes off, and I, well, I was wondering if I missed anything.
Lately, he's been bashing the alleged administration soundly, though.

5. It's easy to get sucked into his seemingly rational ratings |
|
If you watch him long enough, you can figure out where his loyalties lay. He a righty.

11. I know he's a Libertarian ....but like Tweety...in "slow mode" he tends to |
|
go "back and forth."
Tonight he was on Steroids/Uppers....whatever. He was trashing Bush on Port's Security and the whole show was trashing Bush Administration.
The "key" was...that he had no Democrats on his show. I think in some way that's significant even though Dobb's fans here would say ..."it's better for Lou to show Repugs ANGRY with Bush than weenie Dems...still it makes me wonder about his 360 degree "turn" against Bush.
He had ALOT OF Peter King (NY-D) tonight.
I have yet to see a Dem...

6. Yes - border security seems to be his hot button |
|
he covers it almost daily. So he is apoplectic about the port deal.

2. I don't watch him regularly |
|
He has quite a thing about outsourcing and such - so I wouldn't be surprised to see him hammer the UAE deal.
On other things - he seems to fall to the right. IMO.

7. I watch Lou every day. Sure there are some of his views I don't |
|
agree with, but that applies to anybody! He blames greedy Co's for hiring illegal workers and exploiting the,. He's really freaking about this port deal! Has no problem calling many of the failed Shrub appointees idiots, and constantly asks "What are they thinking???"
I enjoy Lou's show. He's a very smart guy and not afraid to say what he thinks.
BTW, if you ever find anybody you agree with ALL THE TIME...let me know!

8. I would rate him as a Libertarian, if I had to stuff him into a hole |
|
He is okay by me - I don't always agree with him - but I don't always agree with all the good folks at DU either!!

9. He's where progressive and right wing intersect |
|
He pionts out and criticizes the same things progressives do -- the scam of "free trade" globalization, the destruiction of the middle class by corporate interests and the general excess of corporate power.
At the same time, he also caters to the jiongoistic isolationist side of conservatives -- immigration especially.
Interesting mix.

10. I don't think Lou is an isolationist at all. |
|
You're right, he harps on "ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION" all the time, but I feel the same way!
If there are problems with the immigration Dept., which I've so often heard there are, they FIX THE PROBLEMS! I know if I would have gone through all the efforts required to gain US citizenship, or even a valid green card, I'd be more than pi**ed at the illegals who cross the border skirting all the laws!

13. Take a tip from an oldie DU'er (been here awhile) Beware "The Hero" |
|
in the end..they aren't what you think. Just listen and go on and keep fighting for Dem Principles and not look for hero's anywhere because you will always be disappointed but don't discount that in "times of grave trouble" a few good folks will "step up to the plate."
