The Reichsfuhrer Stands STRONG For What's Really Important!
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 06:21 PM by TahitiNut
Ya gotta hand it to them. This regime knows what's critically important in this world! Toture? Naww... mere fraternity hijinks. Habeas Corpus? Nawww... that's a luxury people can do without in times of 'sacrifice.' Rule of Law? Of course, since the "pResident IS the law" it goes without saying. The Constitution? Gotta love them strict deconstuctionists.

In the vast panoply of issues - human rights, civil liberties, health care, economic inequity, unemployment, homeless people, victims of Katrina, privacy of citizens, free speech on the internet, you-name-it - this regime shows what's really important: corporate entitlements!! You got it! The entitlement of a corporation owned by the monarchical government of the UAE to control port operations on the east coast of the United States shall NOT be infringed upon!! The whole purpose of government is to protect the entitlements of global corporations, folks!! That's the highest priority! Human rights are petty in comparison ... civil liberties a mere nuisance.

Let's be clear. Are the workers doing the actual labor going to change? Nope. They'll just have a different name on their paychecks. What's changed? The people profiting from that labor have changed ... and the people in control of the information (databases anyone?) about port operations and all the shipments through those ports has changed. The entitlements to profits and control of information have changed - in the regime's "gobal ownership new world order."

Wow! :wow:

3. You are absolutely right!
These fascists are beholden to no one except their self-perceived peers - the multinational corporation elite. Cheney steps aside (to go back to the real government) and Brother Jeb steps up as the heir apparent? No problem, if folks don't like it, fuck 'em. Mob hit-men dressed as Blackwater mercs, disappearin' folks of interest? Shut up and sit down! Who you gonna call? It ain't over till the fat lady sings and Barb has been warblin' ever since she visited the Katrina darkies in Houston. See you in the camps...
