Pundits keep saying: bush's collision course with REPUBS in Congress. |
|
regarding this port deal. They NEVER mention Democrats as being in opposition. Frankly, I am starting to smell a fix here. Pukes are in terrible straits regarding 2006. It's quite possible that some organized deal has gone down whereby lame duck * sacrifices what minuscule good will he has left to prop up his cohorts in Congress. "Good cop, bad cop" anybody?

1. It crossed my mind for a moment |
|
But then I figured that it's going to be so easy to tie Congressional Republicans to Bush in 2006 that the lower his reputation is by then, the better.

3. They are focused on their Long War |

and I like your theory. I don't think it was neccesarily intentional to start with: they do lame shit all the time, but they have seized on this to allow rethuglicans to run against Bush in 06. Their vision is rethuglican rule forever, the Bush administration is on the way out.

(Aspiring always to be a good DU citizen, I checked for other similar threads first -- thus found yours.)
My own impulse was to title my intended post something like this:
YOU ARE BEING PLAYED AGAIN!
The cabal leaves NOTHING to chance. They knew exactly what they were doing by letting this UAE/ports "revelation" come out.
You have it precisely correct: this is pure Kubuki theatre in order to better the chances for GOP congressional candidates who MUST establish an appearance of "distance" from *bush.
The longterm goal is creating a permanent one party control of the government. Expect lots more theatre as the 2006 election looms closer.
In any case, no matter happens during this little show, the inevitable result will be that the bush cabal will do exactly as it pleases. They will simply make sure that the subject in the national conversation gets changed at the proper moment -- in order to insert the next distraction into the corporate media -- and while nearly everyone's attention has gone to the *next* thing -- they will accomplish exactly what they set out to accomplish in the shadows.

9. 2006 is what this may be all about. |
|
Once that election is over these criminals will sell US down the river, in who knows how many ways??? If the sheeple fall for this scam and vote the Pukes in(charge) again, well, I don't even want to speculate. :scared:

11. My vote...completely wrong on that. |
|
They planned for this to slide smoothly along in the middle of the night secrecy like everything else. It was never intended to go ballistic.
This is the second Miers, only this is mega billions worse. No matter what happens Democrats can drive this through the Republicans like a laser in November. They have supported every secret political ninja operation this pig farmer has done.
There is no cover for them to hide under this poison mushroom. We win three ways.
1. If the terrorists take over the ports as planned, the Republican base will damn near mutiny. It's like putting Charles Manson in charge of crime.
2. If he tries to pull this deal, he's shit with a billion Muslims and the leverage they will excercise with oil, air bases, the list is endless.
3. Either way we just took their self annointed phoney issue about strength and terror and blew it to Mars.
People who had one bite of a bad apple, are not going to chomp down on another piece. Anytime Republicans say Bush is inherently able to do things secretly now without oversight, they will be laughed out of the room. This is as good as winning the lottery.

Because he just came out in favor of this monstrosity. I don't know what they're up to, nothing makes much sense.

I imagine he doesn't see the difference between the UK and the UAE, from a purely diplomatic basis. I don't think Carter can conceive of what the Bushes are really doing, I don't think he believes that kind of evil really exists.

14. Nice theory...but I suspect that it truly is just a matter of arrogance. |
|
King Chimp and his cronies were banking on this deal flying under the radar, but now that he and his ilk have been caught red-handed they are trying to salvage any $$$ tied up in the backroom deals.
Rove is good, but I seriously doubt that King Chimp would throw himself on the political fire to help out his party. There's NOTHING in Chimp's personal or political background to suggest that he cares about anything other than himself and his "macho" image. Giving in on a deal is not in Chimp's character...in his twisted, raisin-like brain it would be a sign of weakness.

But seriously these people are diabolical, and I don't think we can underestimate their determination or ability to manipulate the American electorate.

16. I hear ya...but let's remember that we're talking about Bush. |
|
You are placing a lot of diabolical intelligence in the head of a man who picked his nose at a baseball game (Rangers video); has multiple failed businesses; and can barely speak and doesn't do so in a coherent fashion.
Rove...I could see doing something like this, but that assumes that he can convince Chimp to "take one for the team," which I haven't seen EVER in Chimp's personal or political life.

18. Surely you've grasped by now that Chimp is just a front man. |
|
This has nothing to do with his personal qualities, it has to do with the long-range plans of the military-corporate-financial elite who are pulling the strings.
GW Bush is the ventriloquist's dummy sitting on the lap of an interwoven nexus of global financial/oil/weapons elite. GOP (and Dem, for that matter...) congresscritters may squawk for show, but once safely re-elected they will fall in line as obedient foot soldiers for their corporate masters.
