some back-water channel that were it to be otherwise there'd be hell to pay like none other; and so all of a sudden the entire "i'm just here protecting the american people, that's my job" canard is up-ended in the face of 98% of the American populace right & left voicing opinions to the contrary

think is so crazy, I cannot find any logical reason for doing it. How do you tell the American people we are the party of defense and security of your nation and then go and do something like this. There has to be something we don't know about. With the republicans, it is usually money.

perhaps even chinese, would have been able to make a bid; but the UAE? as the only other bidder? i'm just not seeing that. and when it is the case that these deals are looked at for months in advance; nor do i acknowledge the UAE acquisition of the British firm as a per se innocent one, that then puts a 'lock' on all future civil commercial operation...
or should in suggest that in the meantime it is all about money unless & until it is deemed world war after all, and, at a time and place other than our choosing. which is a gross strategic miscalculation, or should i say "yet another one"
