Apparently, the White House Correspondents Association is having a tough time finding a headliner for their annual super-dinner. Jerry Seinfeld was the first choice but he declined (not a Bush fan?), as did David Letterman and, get this, Jon Stewart. Now, it seems to me that one would have had a better chance of getting Jon Stewart to pop out of a cake at Tucker Carlson's birthday bash than to have him politely mingle with Bush and friends.

As professionals, they could grimace politely, like an Oscar nominee being forced to sit through some hokey amateur pageant.
