Is bush smarter than the people that voted for him?
Compared to the overall population how smart is he? Cause damn he seems dumb to me. Sure he has power and money, but what does that indicate?

I know at work there are people I am smarter then, and many I am less knowledgable than - but overall I am smart enough to learn and adapt to most things. bush seems like a fish out of water, which sometimes makes me wonder if he is the real enemy or someone else is that is pulling the strings - in which case he is in for a rude awakening some day in the near future.

bush - the patsy of the right...

1. It's "someone else" - count on it.
And they're extremely smart; well, they seem that way for the time being, until we start sending them to "therapy schools" for recalcitrant politicians.

2. No, he's not.
Jim Jones wasn't smarter than the people who drank poison with him and murdered each other.
Certainly, Pat Robertson is not any smarter than just about anybody, but running a good con does not mean smarter, just vilely persuasive.

4. Well, I've Been Told Many Many Times By My Husband...
Even IF you have intelligence, you may not have good common sense! My husband tries the line on me all the time, but from my husband it's just a put down when I one-up him! I HAVE common sense, I drag everyone I can to vote against these heathens!

I'm NOT impressed with either when it comes to THE IDIOT!!

Conniving is much more succinct! Liar, cheater and useless are even better! I think his motto must be "lead me and I will follow" I need not do anything but be wound up each morning because I'm The President. That's all he needs to make his day. I don't think he even cares whether he's intelligent or not, just as long as they call him President!

And as far as his ChistianInsanity goes, he knows only one faith... just win by any means possible! He has faith that those around him will do all that needs to be done, just make sure it doesn't touch me!

I've NEVER bought his "born again" theology and find it as transparent as toilet paper!

5. He doesn't have to be any smarter than they are, since
by definition 1/2 of the population is below average intelligence. Look for the majority of your freeptards and bushbots (and * voters) in the shallow end of the gene pool.

10. I don't think he's stupid
But, he is lazy and lacks any sort of intellectual curiousity... except maybe regarding baseball.

He is not a good public speaker, however, and is also not a quick thinker. However, I do have sympathy for him on that, as I'm not a good public speaker and am generally not a quick thinker. However, I do question things that need to be questioned and am not afraid of hard work, when necessary.

11. Sure he is. Look at all the things he's convinced them of.
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 07:29 AM by bklyncowgirl
He has them convinced he's a downhome rootin' tootin' Texas cowboy who loves nothing better than riding the range at the old family ranch.
Truth: He bought the spread in 1999, does not raise cattle and has never, ever been seen on a horse.

He has them convinced that he's a born again church going Christian just like them who shares their values.
Truth: Bush seldom attends church and then only for photo ops.

He has them convinced that he will keep them safe from terrorists.
Truth: Three thousand innocent Americans died on September 11 largely because of the failure of his administration to recognize the threat of Al Queda.

He has them convinced that he is a determined and capable war leader
Truth: The Iraq war has been mismanaged from the gitgo and the leaders who so badly miscalculated have been kept in position or promoted while those who tried to do the right thing were fired.

I could go on and on but you get my drift.

Sorry for the multiple edits--I didn't sleep too good last night.

To quote the man himself "Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice and we won't get fooled again."
