Is the seaport scandal a trick to ultimately get Haliburton the contract? |
|
I saw this on FR:
Ye gads! Could this be yet another scathingly brilliant ploy of the evil genius Carl Rove, to get the DemRats to ultimately hand over this deal to Halliburton rather than lose face over the stink they've made about this deal that favors UAE?
What do you think?

Please, let's hope it doesn't go anywhere near there!
My thoughts are---in response to the quoted FR poster: It's not, in my opinion, anything against the UAE, but against our country farming out the management of our "vital" resources to ANY foreign companies. I don't see why there aren't American companies (or some US government investment) able to do the same things.
If you don't invest in your own domain you are a victim to the wishes and policies of others, all jingo-istic talk aside....

They got the contract to build 'concentration' camps, why not get ports. After all, they and Blackwell are the 'security experts' in Iraq'.

they'd screw it up entirely. I mean, the don't seem to be able to anything worth a damn, and they're corrupt as hell, IMO.
Oh yeah, that's a prerequisite to success in the new 'Murika. What was I thinking.
Personally, I think * is sincere in his desire to hand control over to the UAE. It seems entirely within the params of the neocon SOP, IMO.

6. I Think It's Much More Than That! Bushies Have ALWAYS |
|
been close to the Saudis... from waaaaay back! I've mentioned this so many times here it's a broken record! Remember Bandar Bush?? I'm thinking there's a deal in here somewhere. If I'm not mistaken, The Carlyle Group was based there or may still be.
There's a book called "The Bush Dynasty" written by Kevin Phillips that is very revealing. He used to be a Repuke operative, but apparently got the real message about the Bushies and changed his mind! It started a long time ago and actually traces their money and connection pretty far back, starting with Barbara's grand-father or great grand-father... The Walkers!
After reading it, I was even more irate about the whole bunch!!

How is that book? I think there could be three ways this could go:
1) This could be nothing more than a security issue for the republicans to look good. "Oh the republicans saved us! Let them stay in control for 2006!" Remember recently all the polls said the public trusts democrats more for security and this could be a way. They'll have someone like Bill Frist and Lindsay Graham go "talk" to Bush and than he'll change his mind and support THEIR legislation to stop this.
2) Than they'll give it over to Haliburton and other Bush friendly companies including the Carlyle Group. The Saudi's and BinLadin families are still in connection to the Bush's through this group so they'll still make money and they'll have something else promised to them.
3) They're going to use this to attack Iran. They'll give the UAE the ports and than something will happen and Bush will blame it on Iran and everybody will forget about this deal and we'll go into Iran with our good friend Tony Blair. Than the republicans can run on security again for 2008.

14. CORRECTION! The Name Of The Book Is Actually American Dynasty! |
|
The front cover starts with "Aristocracy, Fortune, and The Politics of Deceit In The House Of Bush!
An excerpt from the front flap states this... the family has threaded its way through political and armaments scandals and, since the 1980s, faint hints of acts that might in another climate have led to presidential impeachment!
This from a long time Repuke strategist and premier political and economic commentator!
It's a real eye opener and I personally think every American should read it!

7. If truth be told...... |
|
There are maybe three companies in the world that can handle the job..... one being Halliburton an the others being in China, and UAE (formerly Britain). It's not pretty but it is a fact. Take your poison.

no, lots of people in the bush administration want to make dirty money. It's not all halliburton.
(by the way, why is a freeper so joyous about the idea of halliburton. what's it done for him?)
