Scalia just said "He believes in starie decisis! And that he is NOT
a strick constructionist!

And I crazy? Didn't Shrub say Scalia was his ideal judge BECAUSE he was a strict constructionist?

Scalia is being a real AH today...where ever he was speaking (on cspan now), but those statements surprised me!

1. I missed it, but earlier they "escorted" a kid out of the room.
Scalia was having problems with some of the questions today. I may have to find it on the C-Span ste sometime tomorrow.

2. Scalia is a GOP pawn and an elitist
He hunts and fishes with Cheney and GOP millionaires.

He fights TV cameras on the SC.

3. I know all of that, but don't you find it odd that he publicly stated
he was NOT a strict constructionist? I thought that was what Shrub's been promoting for a long time, and claiming he wanted all SCOTUS to be like Scalia.

I don't like the guy bacause I think he's an arrogant AH, but his statements sounded very "unlike" Scalia to me.

4. I wouldn't trust any words of Scalia
He's a right wing extremist who lives the good life.

5. I think his definitions of some of the words is different. Like "natural
law," "moral relativism," "strict constructionist."

I saw it rerun, or at least I watched the Q&A.

What really struck me was the very clear message from the audience at the law school that Scalia is a part of the current administration. And also that we in the USA are not happy campers with all that is happening.

Scalia also told the gendarmes not to "use force" when escorting people from the room.

Wasn't he the one who had aides or guards seize cameras or tape recorders, and the story got a lot of negative attention a while back?
