When all is said and done, to whom will this benefit?
The Democrats could say that they were the first to come out against this port situation...

Then the Repukes could say that with their support, they were able to override the veto and that they're the party that "strong on defense".

Will it even be a campaign issue? Seems like they're setting it up to be...

And i'm sure if it keeps going and staying loud it will because the Republicans believe it can be a winning issue for them. They hold the cards - Bush could end this story today, if he chose to.
