Sorry if this is a dupe. I'm inclined to believe it.
This is on Capitol Hill Blue.
A written report from Secret Service agents guarding Vice President Dick Cheney when he shot Texas lawyer Harry Whittington on a hunting outing two weeks ago says Cheney was "clearly inebriated" at the time of the shooting.

When asked if a blood alcohol test had been performed on Whittington, the doctors who treated him at Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial in Corpus Christi or the hospital in Kingsville refused to answer. One admits privately he was ordered by the Secret Service to "never discuss the case with the press."
Maybe the doctor could discuss the case with someone NOT in the press --- perhaps in a statement to the Congressional oversight committee or the FBI?

3. Probably, But Because Of Logic, Not Because It's CHB Reporting. |
|
This article give no more credence to that ideal than if you or I said it, since CHB is usually more fiction than reality anyway. In this case, saying he was inebriated is something that needs no evidence other than logic to propose, so they are safe with this one. But since CHB is the one reporting it, I'm ALMOST inclined to start thinking maybe he wasn't inebriated LOL. I won't take it that far though, just because CHB reported it doesn't mean it isn't true, I guess. :)

4. this is an unreliable source |

but I agree that something is up with the issue. Cheney has so little credibility that if he said he only had one beer then I'm inclined to think it was more than that.

How else do you mistake your friend for a bird? He had to have drank at least a fifth of Jack Daniels before guys start looking like birds.

If it had been reversed, Whittington would have mistaken Cheney for a Polar Bear.

9. It's pretty pointless to post anything from CHB. |
|
Doug Thompson always says the things we wish were true but he never has any documentation or other verifiable sources to support his allegations. Maybe Cheney was drunk but Thompson is a shill and his "information" should be treated like counterfeit Texas National Guard documents.
