1. I usually recommend Lonely Planet's Thorntree forum, but |
|
they seem to be having server problems. you could try Babelfish or some such.

'ssup dude! Greetings to ya'll who are here but whose hearts are in Nicaragua. How's the song go, "I'm here but my mind is elsewhere".
And so it begins . . .
Group Effort! Next!
on edit: J Sang these people could have had you on. I like fried baby ducks and am obsessed with the left side. I only shave on the left too and so only have half a mustachio, joo know, down there. Some men find this interesting. Others do not.
okay okay let me go look at it again.
second edit: was a university student in 87 and 88 in computer engineering up until the time I could no longer stay in touch with my classmates. Maybe like you. Ya'll can know, we primarily studied Lenin, Francisco Ocana, Roberto Bonilla, Amanda Wilson, Maria Teresa Gomez, Rosa Argentina; all of the "Mara". Viva Nicaragua.

5. Google and Babel translations are terrible. |
|
They don't take into consideration multiple meanings of words, don't know a thing about idioms and word combinations, and generally just go through literally translating the words one by one. If you type the German equivalent "It's about to start" ("gleich geht es los") into Babelfish and translate it into English, you get "directly goes it loosely".
Don't bother with Babel or Google translations.

Hi, paisan (Italian word; not Spanish). Greetings to those who are outside the country but whose heart is in Nicaragua. Like the song goes: 'I am here but my mind is there.' At any rate, I was in the university studying computer engineering in '87/'88, and have not as yet been able to establish contact with any of my ex-classmates. Perhaps one of you knows them, we were in the first class, including (names of all his ex-classmates), alas, all of 'la mara' (I've no idea what that is). Long live Nicaragua.

Hello, fellow countrymen. Salutations to everyone who lives elsewhere, but whose heart is in Nicaragua. Like the song says, I am here, but my mind is elsewhere." I studied computer engineering in the U.S. in 1987-88 and I haven't been able to track down any of my old classmates. If you think you knew me, we followed the first ones, such as Lenin, etc., etc. ... it all ends, "The Mara." Long live Nacaragua!
Sorry. Best I can do. My Spanish is really rusty.

Hello countrymen. A shout out to all those who are in foreign lands, but whose heart is still in Nicaragua. Like the song says "I am here, but my mind is over there." Just writing this in case - I was studying engineering & computers at the University from 87/88, and I haven't been able to get in contact with any of my ex-classmates. Maybe one of you would know someone - we were in the "First Course" together; some like: Lenin, Francisco Ocana, Roberto Bonilla, Amanda Wilson, Maria Teresa Gomez, Rosa Argentinta, and above all "La Mara." Long live Nicaragua.
