Bush had a choice to make: Invade their country, or hand them our ports.
If the objective was security, the UAE was certainly on the short-list of countries slated for post-9/11 invasion, right?

And if the objective was democracy, the UAE certainly needed to experience post-9/11 shock and awe, right?

But apparently there was another option that nobody even told us about: Sell them our ports. Genius!

And, for those of you playing the race card: Supporting the UAE ports deal is racist. Supporting a regime that oppresses its Arab population is racism. Why do you support the oppression of Arabs? Are you one of them racists? Do you hate democracy? Or, are you so fucking stupid that you think a handful of rulers represents an entire race?
