What, with all those secular chocolate Easter bunnies and marshmallow Peeps I saw layed out at the grocery store today. How long before Dobson, Fallwell and Robertson declare a boycott on green plastic Easter basket grass?

3. It's planned. And they've got better pundits this time.
They'll have extremely convincing arguments to go along with the idea that Easter is being persecuted against by the evil secular liberals. :eyes:

4. Easter isn't a commercial thing like Xmas
Too much concentrating on sacrifice and redemption.

Goes against the fundie focus on greed.

5. What about those unborn chickens
that get boiled up so they can be colored. And what about those colors - every color of the rainbow - and we know rainbow is a code word for the militant, radical homosexual activist agenda. And why hasn't lavender been removed from the packages of egg dyes? Why are good red-blooded Christian American youth being forced to dye eggs lavender?

Katy parents sue to get religious valentines in school
By ERIC HANSON
Copyright 2006 Houston Chronicle

A group of parents has obtained a temporary restraining order allowing their children, who are students in the Katy Independent School District, to take religious-themed valentines to school Tuesday.

The order was granted by a Harris County judge today, said attorney Kelly Shackelford.

Shackelford said the school has banned religious items from classrooms. The parents also filed a lawsuit claiming their children are subject to censorship and ridicule whenever they they talk about faith and religion in class.

Specifically, the suit alleges children were prohibited from drawing "religious images" in an art fundraiser, mentioning Jesus in a class discussion on Easter and handing out faith bracelets during recess. It specifically cites the alleged practices at Pattison Elementary School, and names the principal and a teacher.

My bible has no mention of Jesus celebrating Valentine's Day. Maybe I've got the wrong edition.
