So Hannity is going to debate SPRINGER???
Some questions:

Would Springer be any better than Colmes?

Is there anyone else on the left who would turn Hannity into a quivering pile of Jell-O?

How about...

..Randi Rhodes

..Mike Malloy

..Thom Hartmann

..Janeane Garafalo

..Sam Seder

..Rachel Maddow (who would clean anybody's clock)

..ME!!

I call bullshit on this

The "debate is going to take place this saturday.

6. You really think so?
Intelligence doesn't matter with dickhead Hannity. He needs to be slapped hard. I don't think Jerry can do that. Someone like Randi Rhodes or anyone else on the list above could easily do what it takes.

Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 11:57 PM by Katherine Brengle
is calmer--he'll be able to (ironically, after years of the Jerry Springer Show lol) present his thoughts and ideas with integrity and decency without descending to Insannity's level.

I think he is a good choice.

(Malloy would be fun, but he'd just end up calling Sean-the-Fatass a "dumb bastard" and it would all be over, lol.)

2. Thom!
He'd eviscerate Hannity, string him up with his own talking points. Malloy and Randi would overdo it...get pissed off.

Thom's laid-back, scholarly style is perfect for debating with RWers. He eats Ayn Rand Institute people for breakfast.

7. That's whay I would want Rachel Maddow
She is so freakin brilliant, and has such an esoteric command of the issues. She would expose Hannity for what he is. That's why he would NEVER debate someone like her.

18. I hate to say this, but when Hannity was on the Majority Report
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 10:03 PM by FLDem5
he was flirting with Janine - not outright, but in some odd way - she was strangely subdued, until the end. He really insulted her by saying, "Watch my show, I'll Hannitize you" and she finally found her voice and said, "you can't Hannitize critical thinkers."

And men seem to allow him to talk over them, constantly. As if they knew the bully in the room and didn't want to get picked on.

So, my point - maybe, as much of a jerk and blowhard as he seems to be to me, maybe he has charisma in person, as a man. So all the straight women and sensitive men don't inspire confidence in me. Now -- don't flame me - I adore sensitive men -they are much better partners and lovers - they just don't debate Hannity well.

Long story short - Rachel would pound him into the dirt. She is the only one I would trust.

Why I felt the need to share this analysis of mine with y'all, I don't know, I have a feeling I will regret it - but screw it - I'm clicking on Post Message anyhow.

show is great. He knows how to put his liberalness in a way that is common sense and not over the top. He gets complemented by repukes for this every day. Still, Jerry is very liberal and not ashamed to say it.

And I can't imagine what he'd do faced with Hannity. I can't imagine what I would do in that situation.

I think Randi is the best debater. Malloy just hangs up on them, which is fine with me because why waste air space on a debate that's going to fall on deaf ears anyway.

39. Exactly
He is totally cool with liberals, even when they seem to be way out there. He is always respectful and it comes across very genuine.

But when a right-winger calls, you can tell he loses that friendliness. He doesn't have much patience with them, even if they try to be respectful. It's like he's waiting for them to fuck up.

He's do his slimy thing he does to women and they would eat him alive.

Janeane got her ass handed to her at the convention by Hannity. She had all kinds of stuff to beat him with, but he slipped into Joe Cool and made her look like a crazed lunatic with her hair on fire.

The thing is, the guy is a moron. And the shit he says is so freaking moronic that anyone who is not cool headed will lose their mind talking to him.

He was Mayor of Cincinatti, a network news anchor, ran for Governor of Ohio, has a degree in political science, was a major part of the movement to lower the voting age to 18 fro 21 and testified before the Senate over this, was a campaign aide to Robert Kennedy, and hosted the Jerry Springer show.

And what has Sean Hannity done? Worked for Fox News and hosted a radio show.

Do you seriously think that Jerry Springer with all that he has accomplished can't handle a moron like Hannity?

What a freakin puke ... Really, this guy is like the high school kid who gets off on going to the middle school to play pickup basketball, then act like a start while he is doing it ...

He will chew Springer up ... Springer is just not sharp enough, and FAR to passive ...

As someone else noted, a debate between him and Randi would turn into a WWF brawl ... I mean it, it probably would turn to blows ... Garafalo would not go physical, but would get real vile, real quick ...

Malloy, Hartmann and Maddow would chew him up and spit him out, without breaking a sweat ... Same with Franken ... If Seder controlled himself, he might be OK ...
