The Iraqis would screw the US royally if they all came together, |
swore off fighting each other and acted together to get the US out of Iraq. The bombing of mosques and retaliation plays right into the hands of the neocon-PNACers.

2. I don't think so . . . |
To be able to move into Iran, the US must free assests from other areas of conflict. At this point, one can't draw down forces in Afghanistan any more and still have enough GI's to raise the flag at revelee each day. That leaves Iraq. With the dust-up now occurring in Iraq, the current forces will have to stay in place to try and keep a lid on what is fast becoming a real cluster love-making session. In essence I believe that the Iraquis are actually aiding the Iranians through these civil unrest (civil war?) actions.
It is so weird how enemies become allies at a turn of the worm.

3. That's the joy of religious fanatics |
They hate people who believe almost the exact same things thay do, because they aren't pure enough, they don't pray in the correct form whatever. The religious nuts aren't going to come together against anyone because they see themselves as "Shi'ite, or Sunni or Protestant first and everything else second. That's why conservative losers like scrubbie hate Arab-socialist governments, because they see themselves as a nation or a people first.
