And how was your NSA protest/vigil in your city/town/municipality tonight? |
|
Ours was uneventful as far a protests go. We had it in our usual 24th St & Camelback location. I would take a guess at 150 people. I don't think it was noticed early enough. Sorry I didn't take pictures. I gave up taking pictures on that corner many protests ago. With the traffic lights, car lights and street lights, the pics come out badly.

1. 150 is a good turnout for Phoenix |

I'm sure the weather is good there now.
They had a protest in Broward tonight. I didn't go, but I heard there was only a handful of people that showed up.

lifetime in hell causes the chill effect to intensify. I wore gloves and a leather coat, and Carls Junior sent over a ton of bacon cheeseburgers for dinner on them! Pretty cool hugh? I don't understand why people aren't more into loosing their right to privacy. That's pretty chilling egh?

I spent four years in the Valley and I found it to be very conservative, especially that area. I used to live in Tempe, the most liberal municipality in the Valley, and I enjoyed it.
And you're right, most people don't give a damn about the wiretapping. I count at least one letter a week to the Miami Herald where someone is saying that if you have nothing to hide, then you shouldn't worry about the wiretapping.
At least the Herald has taken a much stronger stance against the wiretapping than the Arizona Repulsive (I spent four years there as a reporter) -- who came out with an editorial telling readers to trust the bush administration.
Have you ever been to NYPD Pizza? Pretty good pizza.

5. Yes been to NYPD Pizza. Corporate greedie bastards have taken over |

in Tempe. You wouldn't recognize the place. Remember Changing Hands Bookstore? Gone, remember Spagetti Co.? gone now just corporate shit office buildings (vacant) and most small businesses suffocated under the weight. And you would be surprised how close we are to blue here now! I don't have any numbers for you, but the slow trickle is still taking place out of Cali. Most go to NV, but still a trickling of blue demography. You came out with an editorial telling readers to trust the bush administration? or is that a typo in your 3rd paragraph?
