This is a scary administration. I read an interesting article not long ago in Sojourners magazine - an evangelical rag - that described Hitler's rise to power by capitalizing on people's fears and touting the concerns of the religious right regarding moral / family values. Bush talks these things, too, and unfortunately most of the religious right bit - line, hook and sinker. But his actions don't match his so-called values. I'm afraid a lot of people in America are asleep.

I was glad to see the article because I had been provoking dad by comparing the two regimes :)

It's really a concern when the church crawls into bed with the state...

Let me take this opportunity to tell you, how glad I am to know, I'm not the only one in our extended family that is awake. I read lastnight that in march Crude Oil purchased from Iran & some others
in OPEC are switching from the PetorDollar to the PetroEuro. Bush invaded Iraq to stop Sadam from doing that very thing. He has spent more money that it would have cost to have built the infrastructure to get us off the imported oil, completely. I wonder if the American voter will ever elect another President.
