"We do not create terrorism by fighting the terrorists. (more)" (w/Rant)
"We do not create terrorism by fighting the terrorists. We invite terrorism by ignoring them."--GWBush

One of the Freepers is using this quote in their signature line (which can be viewed in this thread:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x45932), and for once, I agree with him.

By ignoring the criminal misdeeds of the Bush cabal and the "terrorist right wing lunatics", the middle and left of this country have ALLOWED these folks to think its okay to be TRAITORS TO AMERICA.

Now, we all know these people are cowards, who worship at the fountain of greed, and heaven knows most of them need to be institutionalized for their own safety as well as that of others, but our willingness to tolerate and be amused at their warped versions of reality, morality, and common human decency because WE KNOW "real people don't really think that" nonsense means they are not being properly chastised for their misdeeds. In a sense, we have INVITED them to attack us -- and that wasn't very nice of us now, was it?

So, thanks, MNJohnnie. I agree with you and your "hero" -- we need to FIGHT you folks -- and trust me:

WE ARE GOING TO KICK YOUR ASSES ALL THE WAY TO PRISON AND IMPEACHMENT, BECAUSE WE ARE NOT AFRAID OF YOU.

In the meantime, I call down the curse of the righteous on you and your ilk:

May any human being who believes the death of even ONE INNOCENT IRAQI CHILD is "worth it" so THEY (presumably adults) can "feel safer" receive the wrath of a just and terrible God -- let there be NO MERCY ON THE SOUL OF SUCH AN ABOMINATION BEFORE HUMANITY UNLESS BY THOUGHT, WORD AND DEED THEY ARE REDEEMED BY HELPING TO TEAR DOWN THOSE THEY HAVE HELPED TO INSTALL IN POWER.

Let their sleep be interrupted with the nightmares they have made for innocents, their throats parched from the clean water they have denied their brothers, and their own grief be measured by the countless tears shed by their victims. Let there be no peace for them until they have served the cause of justice.

We know your names, and we spit upon you, you despicable REPUBLICAN TERRORISTS.

1. madeline albright thought the sanctions, that killed thousands of children
was worth it. Personally, i will not condemn her to a terrible afterlife, since i do not belief is such stuff. We should keep in mind that it is not just from Republicans.

Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.

4. well I regrettably had a falling out with her myself
I admire her, in the detached sort of way you would admire Gaius Helen Mohiam from the original Dune series, but that doesn't mean I agree with her ideas.

She is first and foremost a diplomat, however our falling out over the course of a series of letters was in her insistent use of the phrase "palestinian terrorists" referring to palestinians of any kind, but only "Israeli extremists" when pushed to acknowledge Israeli terrorism.

They are both either one or the other, and not every Israeli or Palestinian is either.

So if her view of that situation could be so compromised, I take it that her other views are compromised as well.

2. Their simple lack of empathy is astounding.
After 9/11, you could fill a set of encyclopedias with all the threats of violence against the perpetrators by your average, everyday civilian anywhere in the United States. We were pissed that someone had the audacity to kill innocent people like that.

Well, folks, what the flying fuck do you expect their reaction to our bombing and killing of their innocent people to be? Do you really not expect them to also be angry? Do you not expect them to want OUR blood for shedding theirs? And when you consider that their chances of revenge through traditional military means is absolutely zero, are you really all that surprised that they'd resort to terrorism?

They are total mental midgets.

3. No you don't. It is the "collateral damage" that creates the terrorists

That's the problem. Oh, and invading a country which has nothing to do with terrorism. Minor detail really.
