Has anyone ever discussed setting up a forum for sparing with repukes?
I have recently had a tussle with a wingnut at another site and it was quite enjoyable.
I know most of them could not debate their way out of a paper bag, but every once and awhile you get to mix it up with a repuke that is fairly reasonable. It's really fun when you are armed with a load of truth and you pepper them right in the face with rhetorical birdshot.

Just wondering if that was ever tried.

6. I used to debate rethugs at a site that wasn't political

but had a small political forum. After a year or so, I left and came here.

My advice: Forgetaboutit!

Except for wing nuts most people CAN be convinced of the truth. Look at Dubyas approval rating to see that most who voted for him dissapprove of him.
Just remember that when you "spar" with someone online they dont like to feel that they have lost the arguement so they will keep on blustering until they get the last post (so they won't lose face) but you might've actually changed their minds behind the screen! I've seen it happen several times where i'll argue with someone about something and they refuse to back down but a week later they'll be on YOUR side! if you point this out of course they'll deny it and say "i always thought that way" but you know you've done your job.

Go to military.com and other military/ retiree forums.....You will have to register to post but it's worth it. You won't convince many of the true boneheads (they have some recruiter types there selling Horse crap) but you will have access to many tender ears searching for the truth. Armed with DU facts you can grind these guys to pieces and you would be filling a much needed position in some very fertile ground. convert 51% of these poor brain washed troops and we have taken away one of *'s power bases.
