Rachel Maddow Appreciation Thread

Coming on Air America right now.

I think she is absolutely brilliant. Her show is packed to the gills with useful information. Maybe it's because she pretty much has first crack at the latest news cycle, but still... she condenses a 4 hour show into 2 hours.

She is tough, smart and easy to listen to.

I think she may arguably be the best host on Air America.

4. I've never seen her get flustered

although I don't get to see too much cable news, Rachel seems pretty tough to beat, in a battle of the talking heads.

I think she is awesome.

7. She really is very good, especially in dealing with him.

My favorite moment with her was when she corrected someone on using the term "pro-life," when they really meant anti-abortion. No one is "anti-life," and this term had always bothered me. Rachel set the record straight on this and I'll always be grateful. I should have written the show. They must get so few letters that they would have read mine...:-)

2. She's far too rational, intelligent, calm, well prepared and informed

I much prefer for a liberal radio host to be yelling and screaming and making unfunny jokes with sound effects and yelling at callers and interrupting them and getting information wrong. I mean the right wing has those so I want them too.

5. Agreed- she is wonderful- I was thrilled when they gave her this show.

Smart, well informed, funny, calm but clear and a pleasure to listen to. Plus, she's terrific with making Tucker look like the schmuck that he is!

I've never heard a better show with a better host. She's witty, charming, and seems to be on top of everything, yet never ever talks down to her audience.

I don't know how she does it, but I'm glad she does.

show. She's the only reason I watch his program.
