Name any accomplishment in the Bush Presidency.
Edited on Thu Feb-23-06 08:33 AM by Feeney2
Even Nixon had the Clean Water Act and opened trade doors to China. But can anyone list one single accomplishment in the Bush Presidency? I, for one, cannot. The media is always talking about the legacies of Presidency's.. Nixon-left in disgrace, Carter-high inflation, hostages, and inept, Reagan-brought honor back to the Presidency and America (insert gag here) and ended Communism (insert big gag here) and Clinton-impeached womanizer. But Bush never seems to get the legacy treatment from the media. When will the media begin the talk that this may be the most failed Presidency ever?

Go on. I dare you to name one.

9. You beat me to it.
I was going to post that "he's a uniter, not a divider" because he's united us all against him.

His other accomplishment is that he's caused a lot of formerly apolitical (and/or apathetic) people to wake up and get involved.

10. Secured access to Iraqi oil fields, cut taxes for rich/corporations,
liquidated government resources to military contractors, aligned Supreme Court against individual rights, all but withdrew support from the United Nations, secured state/corporate control of the media...

I could go on all day.

What? You wanted the stuff he did for us?

Oh, well shit.

Good luck with that.

12. It is not that they are trying to destroy our nation
It is the fact that they are inept at every thing they do.
We have a cult of misinformed egomaniacs who have never succeeded at much of anything in there whole lives trying to run the most complex system on the planet.
The one thing they have shown expertise is at casting aspersions on their enemies.

They show their appreciation with financial backing for the campaigns for similarly inclined politicians and providing armaments (for a hefty profit) to further his efforts to protect capitalism's..er, America's "vital national interests".

17. Five main accomplishments that I can see......
....
First, we now have a very united country on the War on Terrorism - how about that for a well done??

Two, there is now a cabinet level Department of Home Land Security - otherwise known as SS 2006 :puke:

Three, you no longer have to worry about those pesky little things called "Civil Rights" because they don't exist anymore. :wtf:

Four, in just 6 short years Bush and Co has taken us from being fairly respected by the world to being absolutely hated by every country on the entire globe. :bounce:

Last but not least, if you ever want to get rid of an in-law or mean boss the SS 2006 will be more than willing to investigate and help out as needed. :nuke:

:sarcasm: is definitely intended

18. My guess is that you're looking for a positive accomplishment.
I can think of some that he really pushed that had fancy sounding names, but none of them were good for anyone besides big business and Bush's cronies.

19. He killed the Kyoto Protocol
He got us out of a depression caused by the budget surplus and having too many people working :sarcasm:
No Child Left Behind-just all children at once left behind
Healthy Forests-no trees
Clear Skies-no air
Help America Vote Act-which helps America vote Republican, whether that's what they intend or not
2 Federalists on the Supreme Court

It's a much bigger legacy than you realize. Not a good one, but a big one.

After all, the terrorists behind the 93 WTC attack were caught.

Also, Bush brought Chuck Schumer and Peter King together. Never thought I'd see that.
