Restrictions on funeral protesters advance in House

A bill to regulate behavior of protesters at military funerals got a hearing Wednesday in the House and passed muster.

``It's a miracle,'' said Chuck Lawrence of Bonney Lake, a disabled Vietnam veteran and instigator of the bill. He brought it to 31st District legislator Rep. Dan Roach who got the rules suspended to allow it a hearing even though the deadline for bills had passed.

...snip....

Proponents say it is aimed primarily at a Kansas-based anti-gay hate group, Westboro Baptist Church, that shows up at military funerals. On its Web site, Westboro said its protests at military funerals are because God is angry with America and is defeating them in battle.

1. So, why does the Westboro Baptist Church hate America
and want America to fail in Iraq?

:sarcasm:

3. And they say WE hate America
The only reason people don't tell these people, who actually DO hate America, to "love it or leave it" is because they have the "right" political beliefs. This is evidence that their loyalty is to Bush, not to America.

2. Nice to see something I have been talking about, actually happen...
I have been stating that a bill needs to be passed to prevent people protesting in cemetaries. This is a bit more exacting, but the same thing.

Either someone heard me(I doubt it) or I'm just psychic (I'll go with that) ;)
