5. Arnold Agonistes ...
... I finally saw Terminator 3. A decent film, after all.

Decent? Excellent. Kudos to Jon Mostow, who took over from James Cameron.

It is sad to note that Arnold missed the whole point of the Terminator series, the movie franchise that made his career as an actor. Likewise, he's missed the whole point of governing.

I turned on the commentary track, and while Claire Danes and Nick Stahl provided a lot of interesting commentary, Arnold's was less than perfect. Overall, he was also interesting, but when he was talking about Kristanna Loken, the woman who played the part of the "terminatrix", his commentary was just not ... right. Just way too much enthusiasm for that same kind of "titty man" thing that got him into trouble when he was a muscle act.

It's a good movie. I know that many DUers can no longer bear to watch Schwartzenegger's movies, but I don't have that same kind of "everything-is-politics" orientation. I guess Arnold is rushing headlong to meet his own Judgement Day. The movie's tagline was "There is no future but what we make" -- and he's made a mess of his state's.

6. Saw this during the CA election last year......
...and my husband and I can be frequently heard to snicker and say "It's the Cheney Monster" whenever we see that rat bastard's picture.
