FOR THE LAST TIME - DEMS DID NOT TAKE MONEY FROM ABRAMOFF!
They took money from his CLIENTS, and did so legally! Which is a far different story from taking money from the man himself! This would be like if the company I work for did business for Pat Robertson. Now if my company donates money to a Democrat, would anyone actually think that Pat Robertson had given money to them? Of course not, that would be absurd!

The fact is, most Americans think all politicians are corrupt. The gophers know this, and they are playing it to the hilt. "See, everyone is dirty, it's not just us" is their rallying cry. Don't expect the mainstream media to set the story straight, it's just far simpler to paint everyone with the same brush.

But we know better - so next time you hear some freeper or repug tell you "everyone was getting dirty money", make sure to set them straight!

3. Well...
Taking such a solid stance on the issue when the facts are not known is reckless, and could come back at ya.

I really hope you are right, but I will reserve judgement till the facts are known.

5. Abramoff has made his opinions of Democrats rather well known
He doesn't like them. I seriously doubt that he would give money to the political party he despises, and everything I've seen so far backs me up. Of course, if it does come out that some Dems took dirty money from him, I'll be the first to demand they go as well. But so far it's just not happening.

It would be like Barbra Streisand or Bruce Springsteen giving money to the GOP. It just ain't gonna happen, baby.

This thread has MORE than enough rebuttals to the "they both did it" nonsense:

This particular post from the thread above nails it down:

Welcome to DU.:hi:

9. I remember something Oliver North once said
"If a Democrat doesn't have a political problem we can control him with, then we will create one for him"

Lets hope for the best, but we know how the repubs operate.

The facts are a matter of public record - you only have to look them up
Political contributions are reported as required by law. The facts are right here:

"Reckless" - Holy christ you people are desperate.

8. ROTFLMAO
True enough. Just wonder why some on this board have a hard time understanding it. If members of DU get confused this easily about this, how much more will the general public (er, sheeple)?
