woman who is going off on a Radio Show (Tony Snow-RW) as he tries to smooth over the ports deal and tell how safe we are.

I don't agree with her in the least, but it certainly gives a huge microscope into the brain of a BushBot who has been fed a steady diet of OxyRush, InSanity and crew.

Usually, I’ll use this blog to post the calls that I make. Occasionally, I’ll come across something that I had nothing to do with, but just needs to be heard (like the Lieberman/Hannity lovefest)… This audio falls into that category.

It comes from this morning’s Tony Snow Show. This woman, from Iowa, had me cracking up. Her fear of the terr’ists was so profound… so all consuming… so complete…

She’s from Iowa. Osama couldn’t find Iowa if it dropped on his head.

This woman makes me fear for humanity… I mean, OK… Y’all are gonna point fingers at me and chant, in unison, “Godwin’s Law!”, but I don’t give a shit… If this woman is so easily trained to fear a bunch of goat herding cave dwellers from half a world away, well, what do you think she would have been saying about Jews if she had been living in Germany in 1939?

So yeah, this is funny… but keep in the back of your mind exactly how scary it is too.

8. I have lived in the middle of the middle all my life

and I can't figure it out at all, never have understood it.

Just this morning I was at the feed store and a woman who had never been out of Kansas went on a short cruise to a couple of islands. She hated it, not the cruise, she hated being around all those places (people?) that were not Kansas. She said she was never so happy in her life as she was when she got home. Go figure that out. I can't but there it is.

Bush finally found a way to electrocute his own base, and send his poll numbers really plunging. If this doesn't send him into the low 30's high 20's, I don't know what will.

Maybe it's all part of some masterfull Rovian plot, profound ploitical tone deafness, machivallian hubris or a unique and fatal combination of all of the above that will prove politically crippling.

Until the next terrorist attack that Bush will certainly use to grab more power, crush all of his political enemies and send the world's economy hurtling towards a decades long abyss.

3. They have used fear to scare their base into accepting everything

they have done since 9/11 because they want to be seen as the protectors. Then they pull some stupid move like the ports deal and they expect their base to just roll over and not object to a deal done with a country that has ties to terrorism because they have said "trust me". Their fear campaign has worked too well and has backfired on them.

maybe radio listeners like "Jane" will come to realize that the viewpoints expressed by radio show hosts like Tony Snow, Rush and Sean flap in the breeze as dictated by the RNC.

These radio show hosts are fearmongers and anti-arab racists on one day, if that is the RNC's pleasure.

On the next day, though, these hosts might be up-beat, conciliatory and pro-arab if they are told to do so by their masters. Obviously, the port deal is something that BushCo wants, so his radio guys are pimping it.

Jane is on page one of the script, and wonders why Tony Snow is on page two. I hope that "Jane" and others figure this out.

Who is Tony Snow? We don't get these people in the UK (well, Sean and Bill, but at weird hours because nobody watches 'em anyway), and I've never heard of Tony Snow. Is he a second-tier Rush wannabee or something? Is he only on the radio, or is he on television too?

just on the radio. He is similar to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, etc... in that he parrots the day's RNC talking points and he interacts (usually) with pre-screened callers who agree with him.

I am sure that letting "Jane" through on the line was on purpose, though, so that he could "catapult the propaganda" (to use a Bush phrase) by repeating the conclusion, over and over, that there should be no worries over the port deal.

"These people plotted for years, they did this, they did that", when the truth of the matter is the HEAD OF THE FBI says there is no provable paper trail to prove the "Official Conspiracy" Creed that is 911. Thanks for posting it! The caller from Iowa repeated all of the right's talking points back to that idiot Snow. And I especially liked it when he said, "Oh, we shouldn't buy oil from them?" And she said basically no, we should come up with other alternatives. That shut him up for a minute. You can almost hear the panic as they realize their base is slipping away. What a fantastic case of Bed. Made. Lie.
