WASHINGTON - The Bush administration and members of Congress are at odds over whether security is compromised by an Arab company's takeover of operations at six major American seaports.

In the Tampa Bay area, the national dispute hits close to home because the Tampa Port Authority is scheduled today to consider an agreement with a subsidiary of the company to become the terminal operator at the Port of Tampa.

The six ports that are part of the current deal are New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Miami, and New Orleans.

This would be a separate deal.
