WHAM! DP World & Bush Administration HAD SECRET AGREEMENT!!

IMPEACHABLE BUSH LIE that he didn't know about the ports deal!!

Arab Co., White House Had Secret Agreement
By TED BRIDIS, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration secretly required a company in the United Arab Emirates to cooperate with future U.S. investigations before approving its takeover of operations at six American ports, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press. It chose not to impose other, routine restrictions.

As part of the $6.8 billion purchase, state-owned Dubai Ports World agreed to reveal records on demand about "foreign operational direction" of its business at U.S. ports, the documents said. Those records broadly include details about the design, maintenance or operation of ports and equipment.

The administration did not require Dubai Ports to keep copies of business records on U.S. soil, where they would be subject to court orders. It also did not require the company to designate an American citizen to accommodate U.S. government requests. Outside legal experts said such obligations are routinely attached to U.S. approvals of foreign sales in other industries.

Stunning, ain't it!!! I don't care WHAT nation-owned company it is,...NO COMPANY, nation-contolled/owned or otherwise should ever EVER be given a "get out of jail free" card.

Will the stooooopid Bush loyalists FINALLY GET that: they, too, are FOR SALE?!?!?!

:silly: This country is OWNED by multi-national corporacrats. Fascism in the mist.

Hello? Do you stoooopid Bush loyalists LISTEN and SEE with your own eyes what your "god" is doing to you and your country? HE IS SELLING ALL OF YOU AND YOUR SOULS AND YOUR COUNTRY to his bestest of BIG multi-national corporate buddies.

I dunno' what form of ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION it will take for these stooooopid loyalists to wake up and accept they are being conned and used. Frankly, I don't give a damn about them, anymore. They don't even fall within my realm of "Americans" and, when their dawn comes, I won't feel a goshdamn thing for them,...no pity, no empathy,...nothing, nothing.

5. More exceptions made, but that isn't sending out the wrong message to the
World. It seems Bush is bending over backwards to accommodate this deal, in spite of the UAE's record on terrorism, Women's rights, not recognizing Israel, etc.

And how do they differ from the Hamas in Pakistan regarding Israel? It would seem there's a different standard in place.

Bush unaware of port deal until after approval

White House: President only learned recently of handover to Arab firm
MSNBC staff and news service reports
Updated: 3:43 p.m. ET Feb. 22, 2006

WASHINGTON - President Bush was unaware of the pending sale of shipping operations at six major U.S. seaports to a state-owned business in the United Arab Emirates until the deal already had been approved by his administration, the White House said Wednesday.

Bush on Tuesday brushed aside objections by leaders in the Senate and House that the $6.8 billion sale could raise risks of terrorism at American ports. In a forceful defense of his administration’s earlier approval of the deal, he pledged to veto any bill from Congress that would block the sale of a British company to the Arab firm.

Bush faces a rebellion from leaders of his own party, as well as from Democrats, over the deal, which would put Dubai Ports in charge of major shipping operations in New York, New Jersey, Baltimore, New Orleans, Miami and Philadelphia.

24. Who chose John Snow, the former head of CSX, as Treasury Secretary?
Surely whoever made this choice had the ports deal in mind. And Bush must have known about Snow's history and chief benefits for the cabal. And then there is David Sanborn....

Sen. Kerry pointed this out in a letter to John Snow, cited in the MSNBC article just cited:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11494815
“As you know, the CSX rail corporation, where you previously served as chief executive officer, sold its port operations to DP in 2004,” wrote Kerry, D-Mass., in a letter. “Moreover, the president’s nominee for administrator of the Maritime Administration, David Sanborn, was DP’s head of operations for Latin America while this transaction was being reviewed ...”

Naturally, McClellan denied all possible connections with the Dubai ports deal. He spends a lot of time denying things, including many that are manifestly true. A lack of shame or propensity to blush are clearly plusses for his job in this administration.

By the way, ex-Sen. Bob Dole is part of a legal team working for "the Dubai company's case" - that's also mentioned in this article.
