Rove's Brilliant Strategy
This has Rove written all over it and I think it is brilliant (considering the attention span of the average US voter/citizen). They are now using our fear of Arabs to convince us we have to turn our ports over to them!

'If we don't do what they want we are in more danger than if we do what they want- so we have to approve this deal!' Listen very carefully to how the WHouse spokesmen are framing the arguement now.

3. You have got to be kidding!? I have not listened this afternoon
but, I would think that people would simply laugh at them.

They must be getting extremely desperate.

9. Not quite as obvious
They are not saying it quite as obvious as that, but what I said is really the point they are making. The spokesmen are saying that we have to show them we trust them by approving the deal.....

They are saying everything except the 'OR ELSE' if we don't do what they want. In other words, clearly playing on our fears.

12. at the Senate hearing - Kimmet (or someone) said the same thing
that to decline this deal would give the terra-ists a victory, because they want us to become isolationists.

Because - we have so many countries in this world who love us to pieces since Bush took office, right?!

Shame if anything "happened" to it. Tell you what, give us the ports and we'll call it even.

10. Horsechit! This is a feckup by this administration and if, anything,
they're trying to get out of it by playing the terror card... NOW. but I'm sure they didn't know there was gonna be such an outcry over what was probably supposed to just be a good crony business deal.

11. but the public doesn't trust Bush now
even some of the sheep section of our country are questioning this. I heard someone in the store yesterday saying 'since Bush was protecting us from arab terorrists now he is ging our ports to them. The sheep are a wee bit dumbfounded.

13. I get so sick of DU legitimizing Rove
and promoting that "genius" bullshit.

He's a loser, racist bastard who knows how to play to a frightened public and press.

There's no genius in that.

15. I don't like him either
But he is heartlessly clever, manipulative, and effective. His plan is working well. Looky. Who's talking about spying now? Who is talking about outing a CIA operative? The middle continues to move to the right (as it must) because the right gets even more extreme. Democrats following "the middle" are following Rove's plan.

Scary, wicked, with likely a needle dick he's compensating for.
