Bush: Longing for day's gone by |
|
Gone are the days when bush could count on the press to stick their collective heads in the sand and willfully ignore questionable business dealings with Middle Eastern governments and individuals. Now every time we see him he has that ‘what the fuck’ look plastered on his face. His brain is screaming, “I’m the fucking boss—don’t you question me you filthy peasants!” But instead he just mumbles something his handlers told him to say. Gone are the days when 60 Minutes would hold a story, such as the Niger yellow cake fraud, until the election was over—because it was inappropriate to air the report when it was so close to the election. Gone are the days when the media would fluff off stories like The Downing Street Memo.. Gone too are the days when stories like the bin Laden family getting shuttled out of the U.S. immediately following 911. Now Dubai is going to buy U.S. shipping operations and bush can’t get away from all the howling, screaming, and worst of all—the questions. “Damn those questions, don’t they god damn know who I am?”

1. It's OK Bush still always gets what he wants...Inform me when he doesn't! |

No hearings on his admitted illegal spying on Americans the past four years....
And he'll get his slimy port deal through as well...
But please do let me know when he doesn't get his way...However, I may be too shocked to cheer!
And in November with 90% of the country voting with republican owned electronic voting machines...then you'll see some real madness and dictatorship in Bush's last two years!!!

4. God ,That Drives Me Nuts |

Until very recently, every Monday morning, right after the alarm went off, there was Cokie prefacing everything she said about that asshole with, "Bob, while American's don't as a rule condone killing puppies on the West Lawn, given that we're talking about A VERY POPULAR WARTIME PRESIDENT, they are willing to make some exceptions".

6. I'm not much of a believer in these silly 'scandals' |
|
actually doing anything palpable, but they sure confuse and annoy and melt the mental ice the stupid and provincial sorts of Republican true believers stand on. Every one of these stupid affairs makes some of them realize their whole system of beliefs is absurd and useless, the mental ice breaks, and into the drink they go.
About Bush...the cult that was set up and then grew up around him and championed him in 2000 and 2001 is not just in decline, is not just in retreat from reality, is not just facing more defeat. It has nowhere left to retreat to mentally, there's nothing left to evangelize them to fervor with anymore, so it's getting very hard to keep them together. The desertions and fraying and public renunciations have begun to reach a critical level.
The end of the cult and exposure of Bush and all he has done and countenanced is moving into sight in the White House. Bush has his ego and his denial left...and it visibly pains him that They're not bowing to his desires and manipulations much anymore.
One of these days I'll actually write that article on the cultism and its disintegration that I've meant to since roughly spring 2002....

7. right--their ice is melting |
|
I live in the dreadful state of Georgia, thus I'm represented by troglodytes and fascist's. But I've been hammering my idiot congressmen about everything like--wire taps, and now the port thing--hammering from the point of view of a right wing nut-job. I don't think they'll listen to the rantings of a lefty like me, so I call and e-mail and leave messages at least twice a week. Maybe he won't be such a suck up to bush if he things that even the rednecks are pissed off.
