1. A new title: "The Long War"
I've been saying this for some time and most people think i've lost my mind, but i still believe that Bu$h will not leave office in 2008.

The "Long War" belongs to Bu$h, and only he can fight it. Everything is in place now, Die Bold the MSM and the military.

We have lost our country, and those that don't believe that all dissidents will not be jailed are fooling themselves.

We keep seeing and hearing the most disgusting thing coming from this administration, but nothing has been done to stop any of it, because it can't be stopped.

I've lost all hope for a brighter future in this country, and so i come to the conclusion that we are DOOMED!

2. Not as pessimistic as you.. but I do think the plan is to keep handing
over the reins to Republicans by any means possible.

One answer is to get heavily involved in grassroots politics at the local level. It's the only real thing you can do to try to make sure things change.

3. I've been involved for many years
in local politics, and will be again in the upcoming elections. I'm just having a bad week, but being pessimistic is very easy these days.

I like to think i'm informed, and by arming myself with information about how things really are in this country only fuels my pessimistic self.

I'm sure we both have friends and family that haven't a clue about whats happening to our country, and when one tries to explain the difficult times we're involved in and we get rewarded with a blank stare, well it leans itself to having pessimistic thoughts.

Hey, but thanks for the reply and the advice. I'll assume it was one american trying to help another.

4. It was... I had a day last week when I was fed up completely
Luckily, it passes, because I refuse to give up hope entirely or what's the point?

5. Agreed,
and thats what they want us to do. I'll never give up the cause, but sometimes i forget what the cause really is. We have so many to choose from, it's hard sometimes to keep them in order.
