What we can thank Bush for in the future. Not in any order. |

1. We can thank him for a bankrupt nation, when president Clinton handed him a big fat budget surplus.
2. A decimated medicare system, confusing and more costly to seniors.
3. A failed educational system, with fewer opportunities to go to college.
4. Eviscerating our wildlife protection laws, placing more wildlife on the threatened and endangered lists.
5. Underfunding the EPA to the point of gross in-effectiveness, leaving hundreds of toxic sites to be cleaned up.
6. Trashing our environmental laws , so that his corporate buddies can buy their eighteen mansions and fatten up their Caymen Island accounts, while the air gets harder to breathe and the water becomes undrinkable.
7. Allowing corporations to raid or sell off the pension funds that honest, hard-working people have strived their whole lives for.
8. Fostoring and promoting a climate of corruption in this country, when once upon a time values really meant something.
9. Doing a great big disservice to the name of christianity.
10. Turning the entire world against us.
11. THIS IS THE GRANDE FINALE, AND WHAT WE SHOULD THANK HIM MOSTLY FOR IN THE FUTURE: For causing random acts of terror and suicide bombings to occur on a regular basis, causing all of us to wonder when we go shopping if we will make it home alive. (and people don't kid yourselves if you don't think it will happen. Look at London, Paris, Tel Aviv.) This is something we never had to concern ourselves with. But in the future we will be able to thank George W. Bush for ushering in a new age of terror right here at home, now that he has turned the entire muslim world against us.
I'm sure I've left a few things out. Please feel free to add on to this list.
