These people are such losers and need to get lives. Why are these 40 year old single white men always bitching about gay people? Are they not getting any? These fuck ups in our society are busy working dead end jobs and so I think they just love lashing out at anything.

I've never understood the total hypocrisy here on the part of Republicans with regard to Ann Coulter. They think that everyone should be married with kids by age 25, except Ann Coulter. Maybe they realize that no one would want to have kids with her.

as does any bigotry...it is all well and good to say to them..well.."there is some reason u so hate a certain group..." and of course the reason being always that the bigot is threatened by whatever group for whatever reason, but after a while..u just gotta say to yourself..."self, trying to understand the reasons, does not make it ok" And, there is aways the example, that if we try hard enough, we can understand and even feel empathy towards Hitler..he had a bad childhood, etc., but after a while..all u can think is "so what"..yeah, there are bigots and murderers and evil people in the world...and understanding, at a personal level, doesn't change that...so u gotta just live your life..and do what u can to avoid such people..and trying to change them,it is not yours to do...and they wont hear you even if you try.

5. An American University did a study

(I think it was Georgia), that was discussed in the HBO documentary "Middle Sexes", narrated by Gore Vidal.
They found that homophobic men were aroused by gay sex videos, but men who were not homophobic were not aroused.

6. Because they think that gays are pedophiles...

I work with a fundie. The subject came up and he asked me if I'd let my son go on a Boy Scout camping trip with a gay scoutmaster. I informed him that I wouldn't LET my son join the Boy Scouts even if he'd expressed an interest because of their discriminatory practices. Other than that, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

He told me that I was "sick" and a lousy parent.

It took me about 10 seconds to make the connection. I told him, "Ralph, they're gay...they're not pedophiles. You realize that there's a difference, don't you?" He didn't. He really saw them as the same thing.


I then asked him if he was straight...he proudly stated that he was. I told him that, as a straight man, he shouldn't be allowed to be around little girls, because he'd probably molest them.

He wasn't amused (but I was).
