Cannot Believe What Tony Blankley Said On Hardball --- --
Edited on Thu Feb-23-06 08:05 PM by Jon8503
He says we should take sides in the Iraq Civil War coming and specifically said take the side of the Shiites. Can you believe these people? You don't take sides in another country's civil war. It is our doing the civil war is erupting. This was all predicted. One guy on CNN, a retired general I believe says our troops could be in grave danger.

Think it was 138,000 US troops there and said that would be very small if civil war explodes and we are caught in the middle there.

Heard a crazy repuke call in to the Young Turks and he is pissed because the Dems won't give them a plan. They said what the fuck is the republicans plan, they got us into this.

He came up with we need to get a million troops in there and put someone in charge meaner than Saddam. Can you fucking believe these people, actually very very scary. Now Perle on Hardball, Man oh man, I hope America wakes up.

5. Oh my god, I can't believe it. I really do think they are almost in
the panic stage.

The security of the ports. You know Bush's favorite song now is "Don't Worry". Who has been telling us all the time to be worried. Don't get too complacent. Now don't worry.

Iraq falling apart.

Half the republicans in trouble and some will go to jail.

Don't Worry.

Fuck!

4. Believe it, Blankley is an idiot.
Saddam was so bad we had to remove him, or so guys like Blankley told us. Now he cheers for us to put someone nastier than Saddam in place to clean up the mess that wouldn't be their if we would have left Iraq alone. Geez, these cretins have no shame.

7. Blankley
got his head up his ass!! The Shiites don't love us or want us in Iraq. The U.S. presence is about the only thing unifying the Iraqis, and it is against us.

13. He's fing nuts, when this civil war gets above the low level we're hearing
about then we best be out of there, us troops in the middle of that clusterfuck will be in even worse shit than they are now. Bush wanted them to have democracy and this is what they're choosing. Why do i have the feeling that in another 10 years we'll be sending troops to reliberate them?

14. Side with Shiites? I would thing secular Sunnis would be more
agreeable with our interests. Ok Tony, we'll back the Shiites (and Iran) that really hate us, and piss off the Sunnis (and Saudi Arabia (that just sort of hate us). Then they can all really hate us more than just sort of hating us.

15. That was scary to watch.
And his thought that "rights" had nothing to do with it, that we've basically got carte blanche to do anything, anywhere, b/c what happens in the world could affect our security.

What a whack-job.

17. A side?
On a war that YOU rooted for Tony? My side was always, and will be while I breathe, a simple one.

Never start a war you would not send your sons to fight in.
